Welcoming Winter

Welcoming Winter. A time to embrace slowing down, rest and reflection. Aligning with this season so that our bodies may come back into the natural rhythm of the Earth. Notice what’s happening in nature- everything is sleeping, still and quiet. It is here in deep stillness that rejuvenation can happen on every level.

Most of society sets resolutions on January 1st, and begins to take action, yet often times one can feel a sense of failure when it doesn’t come to fruition. But winter actually isn’t supportive for action as we are meant to be resting. We can still set resolutions/seeds/intentions, nourish them during this season and let them come to life in the Spring. This is when vitality and fertility begin to stir not only in the Earth, but within our bodies.

Using conscious breath and intention, one can begin to root the breath deeply within, creating inner stability…
